Sept. 6 Week's agenda for English IV

Overview:
    Wed blog7 due: pick a book you read/reread this year,
    Thur blog8 due on 'Coy Mistress' pick a line or investigate structure
     Thur: short quiz, read P&P to p.117, to p.150 by Monday
     Mon blog12 due: first paragraph of first essay
    Essay: examine how influenced the individual is by society, both in Austen's and your world. (You may include History of Love and/or poems, as well).
Start on Tuesday on page 98 of Austen. Ask questions.

·         Mr Collins proposal: What’s funny about it? How do women seem disempowered and without a voice? Is that funny or a nightmare?
